Providing assistance to student life with an abundance of books and facilities

Both Hoshigaoka campus and Nisshin campus have a library, and students and faculty can use both libraries. The central library contains approximately 340.000 books and the Nisshin Library approximately 80.000 books, and also a great number of scientific journals, magazines, newspapers and audiovisual materials, and are being used by approximately 130.000 people each year.
The materials held by the library can be searched from anywhere using the "Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC)" on the web site. Also the library has an interlibrary loan agreement with the Nagoya City Library and Nisshin City Library, which allow users to loan materials from those libraries directly from the university's counter free of charge.
The library guidance (tour) provides information on the library and teaches you how to search for books using the computer terminals, and is very popular not only with first year students, but also with undergraduate and graduate students looking for resources for writing a bachelor's degree thesis or a masters thesis.
Also as a community service, both libraries are open to female high school students for a limited period.
