About the Nagoya area

Blessed with beautiful scenery during all seasons, Japan has developed a unique culture. The Tokai area (Nagoya) is located in the center of Japan, and it is one of the most important regions culturally and economically. Many historic buildings like the Nagoya castle, which is considered one of the most famous castles in Japan, and the greenery and water creates an attractive environment.

Around the campus

Sugiyama Jogakuen is located in the central urban area within easy access of many transportation facilities. The area surrounding the campus is a quiet residential district, and the lush vegetation makes for a relaxed atmosphere.

*Access from Hongo Station (Subway Higashiyama Line): take the municipal bus bound for Idakaryokuchi, get off at the last stop and walk 4 min (approximately 20min total)
*Access from Fujigaoka Station (Subway Higashiyama Line): take the Meitetsu bus and get off at "Sugiyama Jogakuen Nisshin" bus stop (approximately 18min)
